Debra Eckerling has been a professional writer for more than 10 years with an expertise in feature articles. She has freelanced for local, national, and trade publications, as well as online, with a focus in the areas of entertainment, lifestyle, and business. Venues include script magazine, where she is senior writer; Jewish Journal, as a Singles columnist; and “iMedia Connection,” a marketing and branding website. She has written for Venice magazine, Latin Style, and Showtime magazine, among others.

Debra received a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin—Madison, where she was an award-winning public speaker on the nationally ranked Forensics team. These days, she puts her public speaking chops to good use, facilitating panels at Final Draft’s Scriptwriters Showcase, hosting seminars, and speaking on writing at various events.
